Samson Wodajo, MBA, MA — Founder & Principal Advisor
Samson brings 24 years of combined experience across public service, hospitality, and government contracting. He spent ten years as a federal Contracting Officer, supporting more than $200 million in contract actions; eight years leading hospitality operations across hotel, guest services, and marketing; and six years as a systems engineer supporting an enterprise acquisition system that processes roughly $20 billion in transactions each year. He founded Axum Global Consulting in 2019 and BlackOcean Marketing in 2025, holds an MBA in Finance & Global Strategy, and brings one conviction to every engagement: the right expert, at the right moment, changes everything.

Do I have to leave my job?
No. Most advisors work alongside their careers. Check your employer's outside-work policy; the form asks about it.
How much time does it take?
You set your availability. Engagements are scoped in advance.
How am I paid?
As an independent contractor, through the company that signs the client, within 7 days after that client pays for your approved work. Rates are shared after the NDA and depend on your experience tier.
Who owns the client relationship?
Clients contract with Axum Global Consulting, LLC or BlackOcean Marketing, LLC. That keeps contracts, billing, and protections clear for everyone.
What happens after I apply?
We review every profile and reach out within 7 days. If it's a fit, you'll get a mutual NDA and an invitation to an onboarding conversation.
Do you work with firms, not just individuals?

How are projects assigned?
By fit. For each engagement, we match advisors on how closely their experience fits the client's need, their availability, and their track record on past engagements. When two advisors are equally strong, track record decides; if it's still a tie, tenure on the Bench decides. You always choose whether to accept.
Will AI be part of matching?
Yes. As the Bench grows, AI will help us compare each client's needs against advisor profiles to suggest the strongest matches. A person always makes the final call.
What else do advisors get from the Bench?
A network. Beyond client work, advisors and our clients can tap the Bench for their own needs, whether that's a lawyer, an accountant, or a developer, at member pricing.
